As part of our long-standing prevention and outreach strategy, Centre de Solidarité conducted a two-day youth engagement workshop in collaboration with Le Pont du Tamarinier, reaching 18 adolescents aged 12 to 19 in Rivière Noire.

The workshop drew on elements of strengths-based development and cognitive-behavioural frameworks to support self-reflection, goal setting, and critical thinking. Youth were guided through processes of self-exploration, outcome thinking, and personal agency — all foundational principles in early prevention work.

At CDS, our prevention efforts are grounded in sustained involvement rather than one-off interventions. This session forms part of a broader trajectory of field-based prevention, which includes follow-up, community engagement, and long-term capacity building.
