CDS hosted two social work students from IRTS La Réunion as part of a structured professional internship. Over three months, the interns participated in therapeutic, outreach, and family-based interventions, while gaining exposure to long-term rehabilitation models in practice.

This internship formed part of a regional collaboration to strengthen practice-based learning in the field of addiction, recovery, and community support. The placement reflected both organisations’ commitment to cross-border professional development, ethical field training, and the integration of lived realities into academic formation.

For CDS, these exchanges reaffirm our institutional credibility and ability to contribute to the training of future professionals in the region — not just in method, but in values, presence, and care.
