Deepika Parmessur is a Therapeutic Community Facilitator at CDS, where she plays a key role in delivering day-to-day therapeutic support within the TC and across other service areas. With a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology with Counselling Skills (Second Class, First Division) from Middlesex University Mauritius and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Law and Criminal Justice from the University of Mauritius, giving her a valuable understanding of the intersection between mental health, law, and social systems.
Before joining CDS, Deepika gained meaningful experience working in several NGOs, where she developped her skills in client support, counselling, and community engagement. Since joining CDS, she has been particularly active in the Orientation Department, while also contributing across other units, showing flexibility, compassion, and strong team spirit.
Deepika continues to build her expertise through in-house training and experiential learning, aligning with CDS’s commitment to professional growth and high standards of care.
Her ability to combine academic grounding with hands-on experience makes her a valued member of the therapeutic team—calm, committed, and always ready to listen.
